Laws Pertaining to Slaves and Servants, Virginia 1629-1672 This document consists of several laws in Virginia pertaining to slaves and Indians. The laws include punishment for running away with a slave, whipping a pregnant slave, and stating that a baptized slave does not free him or her from bondage.
